Nobody has seen this picture.
It is behind 2,500 tiles. Each one is uncovered once, permanently, by whoever pays for it. When the last tile goes, this page closes and never opens again.
Uncover some of it
You are not buying the picture. Everyone will see that for free. What nobody else can have is the tile with your name on it.
Tiles are assigned at random. Letting people choose turns the picture into a race for the interesting corners and leaves the dull edges unsold forever, which is the one thing that stops it ever finishing.
Payment by Stripe. The price rises as the picture fills: $2 now, up to $5 for the last tiles.
Why pay if you can wait
Because the picture is not what is for sale. It will be public either way. The tile is yours, with your name on it, and nobody can take it afterwards.
Bringing people helps you
Every tile somebody else pays for gets you closer to seeing it. This is the rare case where it is in your interest to send the link to someone.
What happens at the end
When the last tile is uncovered the picture is shown whole, with its story, and the page closes. Whoever uncovers that final tile is named on it alone.
