More tiles
Tiles are assigned at random. You can add a name after you pay.
It is somewhere you could stand. Almost nobody lives there, and almost nobody has heard of it.
When the last tile goes, you get its name and its coordinates.
Why pay if you can wait
Because the picture is not what is for sale. It will be public either way. The tile is yours, with your name on it, and nobody can take it afterwards.
Bringing people helps you
Every tile somebody else pays for gets you closer to seeing it. This is the rare case where it is in your interest to send the link to someone.
What happens at the end
When the last tile goes the picture is shown whole, with its name, its coordinates and its story. Then the page closes and never sells anything again.
How it works
- A photograph from orbit is hidden under 2,500 tiles.
- Pay for a tile and it opens, showing that piece of the picture. Your name stays on it for as long as The Reveal is online.
- When the last tile goes, the whole picture is free for everyone.
